Delivery, Shipping & Returns


Local Delivery

Local delivery is available in the Philadelphia area (20 mile radius) and typically costs $50 per trip. 
For deliveries beyond 20 miles, additional costs/mileage will be factored in. Payment for delivery must be received prior to delivery and a 1-2 hour window will be provided to account for travel time during day of delivery. Please note: deliveries are to first floor only and subject to additional fees if returned.

 

Shipping Nationwide

We often use 3rd party shippers to ship items nationwide. Before purchase, please ask for a detailed delivery quote by contacting us at info@reconsideredhome.com

For smaller items (smalls, glassware, small artwork, linens, etc), shipping outside the Philadelphia area will be calculated using UPS or FedEx. We do not ship outside the continental US at this time. Payment must be received in full before item will be shipped. Reconsidered Home is not responsible for any damage that may occur during shipping. A 5% service fee will be added to shipping costs when paying by credit card.

For larger items (furniture, large artwork/lighting, etc), we utilize UShip for bidding on all shipments. We will work with you to find the most affordable shipping option and will provide you with information on your shipment, provider selected, and window of delivery. Payment must be received in full before item will be shipped. Once the item has left our store, it is the customer’s responsibility to manage any communication with the shipping partner directly. Reconsidered Home is not responsible for any damage that may occur during shipping. Please note, this process can take 4-6 weeks to coordinate and there may be additional fees for special packaging needs. A 5% service fee will be added to shipping costs when paying by credit card.

 

Returns 

At Reconsidered Home, all sales are final. Our items are vintage and show signs of wear; we encourage you to do a complete inspection of a piece before purchase and will do our best to disclose all markings and signs of wear. In rare instances, a return may be accepted and subject to a restocking fee (5%) and reimbursement for delivery and/or packaging fees incurred. Lighting and electronics from this era are all sold "as is" despite working order. It is recommended you have a licensed professional rewire or inspect the piece for long-term use.

 

Pickups & Holds

If you purchase an item in our store, and need help loading into your vehicle, please provide adequate notice, appointments may be helpful. Employees are not always available to help.
We often hold items for customers that do not have the means to take possession immediately. A non-refundable deposit will be collected to hold an item and will be credited to your purchase once paid in full. If you need us to hold an item for you longer than 2 weeks, please provide a time frame for pickup. There may be a fee involved in holding/storing your item for longer than 2 weeks.
